Cancun Activities The hotel zone in Cancun is spread out over 26 miles along the Caribbean Coast making the beautiful beaches the number one activity.

Many people do the beach at least once a day regardless of the water conditions and some people spend their entire vacation lounging on the beach.

Off the beach there are so many things to do it really boils down to how much money do you want to spend?

You can take tours or rent a car and get around to various attractions on your own. There are islands you can visit, Mayan ruins, markets, villages, amazing eco parks, horseback riding just to name a few.

On the light side walking around the pedestrian paths in the hotel zone is fun and free. Browsing the markets is fun too.

You can get around Cancun on public bus, which means that you can take the bus from your hotel to any attraction "in" Cancun hotel zone or Cancun City. For attractions outside the City or hotel zone you must take a tour or rent a car. In some cases you can take a bus to a city or village close to an attraction then taxi or colectivo to the attraction from Cancun.
